The Difference Between Laser and Freezing Liposuction Treatments
In this present day, it is not uncommon for people to undergo liposuction treatment. Currently, the number of new liposuction techniques is quite varied. These procedures have stated that they are superior to what is currently available, which has aroused the interest of many potential patients. However, due to the similarities between the different choices, some might not know how each of them works. Presented below is information on some of the recently introduced liposuction procedures that have received greater interest.
Before we start, it is good to know that most of these new techniques use a wetting solution. The reason for doing this is lessen the impact of the fat extraction process. How the different techniques differs is in the way the fats are melted.
One of the more common procedures is called laser assisted liposuction. For this procedure, doctors will leverage on a plastic optic to unleash heat from the laser. This laser technique has the advantage of being more targeted and less harmful to the patient. However, the heat from the laser might cause some internal burns if the surgeon is not capable of handling a laser surgery.
A more advanced version of laser liposuction has recently been introduced called slim liposuction. Slim represents specific laser induced melting and is based on five years of research. Relative to regular laser lipo, slim lipo uses a broader optic that can give out more laser energy. A wider area implies that doctors can reduce the strength of the laser, which lessens the chances of sustaining any burns.
Besides laser based lipo, there is also the newly introduced freezing liposuction. This procedure uses cold water streams to soften and break down the fats. One advantage of cold based lipo is that it avoids the dangers of using laser. The reason is due to the fact that only kinetic, rather than heat energy is emitted. However, the downside is that there is inconclusive evidence on its effectiveness
